Which course is best for me?

Here are some links to help you decide depending on which career you're currently in:

Do I have the right qualifications or career enrol onto your courses?

Our students come from so many different health or wellbeing industries, such as:

  • Nutrition & dietetics
  • Health coaching
  • Herbal medicine & Naturopathy
  • Skincare Formulation
  • Aromatherapy & Bodywork
  • Face Yoga Practitioners
  • Facials and beauty therapy
  • Esthetics & Medical Esthetics
  • Dermatology

You don't need any specific qualifications to enrol onto any of our skin nutrition courses.

What do I need to complete these courses?

All courses are online so you'll need a laptop and good internet connection (to be able to watch videos). All courses are in British English so you'll need a high-level of written and spoken English.

Do I need to attend live classes?

No, all of our qualifications are available as online self-study classes. BUT if you'd prefer to study with a live class (live online or live in-person) have a look at our events page as we post live skin nutrition classes there.

How are students assessed?

We have 3 types of assessment that are part of our accredited skin nutrition courses:

1. Self Assessment quizzes: These are usually at the end of each lesson so you can assess you're own learning and see any knowledge gaps. They are not graded but you will get a feedback sheet that shows your incorrect answers to help you revise.

2. Graded exams: Each course has a graded final exam that you must pass (70% passing grade) in order to earn your certificate. For longer courses there are also graded tests at the end of each module while you'll need to pass (70% passing grade) to move to the next module.

3. Practical or written assignments: for some courses you'll need to undertake a more in-depth task which could be as simple as designing a 1-day diet plan or as complex as submitting a case study. Some courses also have a written element such as investigating a specific phytochemical and writing 500 words on it.

What student support is available?

We pride ourselves on providing excellent student support and we have 4 distinct ways to do this:

1. Forum: once you're enrolled you'll have access to our forum where you can post questions and join in discussions with Star and other students

2. Messaging: Inside the student area there is also a button where you can send us a message using the school's internal messaging system

3. Feedback: on certain tasks or quizzes you'll be given personal feedback by Star Khechara to help guide you if you're struggling with any of your studies.

4. Social networking: Our school has its own in-built social networking function so you can make friends with other students and get / offer peer support. Like being at college where you all help each other.

Are there payment plans?

Shorter masterclasses and courses under $500 don't usually have payment plans but longer courses do especially our big diplomas which offer you two ways to study:

Fast Track: pay in full to access the entire course instantly
Pay-As-You-Go: a longer payment plan where lessons are slowly released over a set period of time (usually 1-2 years)

How will studying skin nutrition benefit my existing aesthetics or skincare practice?

Training in skin nutrition allows you to offer a more comprehensive, inside-out approach. You’ll be able to identify nutritional root causes behind common skin issues, such as acne, dullness and premature ageing and design holistic programmes that enhance your topical treatments’ results.

Can this training help me attract more clients or expand my services?

Yes. Integrating nutritional skin-health expertise helps you stand out in a competitive industry. Many of our graduates successfully position themselves as skin health specialists, offering premium consultations, retreats or collaborative services with dermatologists and nutritionists.

I’m a facialist or aesthetician; will the science be too advanced for me?

No. While the content is evidence-based, it’s presented in clear, practical language with direct links to real-world skin concerns. You’ll learn enough science to understand why certain foods or nutrients impact the skin — without needing a scientific background.

I’m a nutritionist; how is this different from standard nutrition training?

Traditional nutrition focuses on overall health. Skin nutrition targets the specific nutrient pathways, amino acids and bioactive compounds that regulate collagen, inflammation, hydration and ageing. You’ll gain niche expertise that bridges nutrition and aesthetic outcomes.

Will I learn how to design nutrition plans for skin conditions?

Yes. Our diploma includes protocols for inflammatory and hormonal skin conditions, ageing skin and barrier repair, complete with practitioner templates and case-study examples. The masterclasses come with ready-made dietary plans.

How can I apply this knowledge in practice?

Graduates use this training to:

  • Add nutrition consultations to facial or aesthetic services
  • Develop signature “skin from within” programmes
  • Collaborate with medical or health professionals
  • Create educational workshops, online content or client guides

Is the training suitable for both clinical and holistic practitioners?

Absolutely. Our curriculum integrates scientific research with a holistic framework, blending nutrigenomics, functional nutrition and botanical bioactives. It’s ideal for both clinical nutritionists and holistic skincare therapists.

Will I learn about nutrigenomics and how nutrition affects genes?

Yes. Our advanced programmes explore how diet and lifestyle influence gene expression, known as nutrigenomics and epigenetics, providing insight into how nutrients regulate collagen synthesis, detoxification and skin repair at the DNA level.

Does the course include practical application or case studies?

Yes. You’ll explore real-world examples and client scenarios designed to help you translate knowledge into clinical or salon settings confidently.

Can I charge more for my services after qualifying?

Many of our graduates successfully reposition their businesses, offering premium-level programmes and consultations. This specialist expertise often justifies higher pricing, attracts better-aligned clients and builds professional credibility.

How much time will I need to study each week?

Most students dedicate 2–4 hours per week, but you can study at your own pace. Lessons are self-paced, with lifetime access to materials, ideal for busy practitioners balancing clients and study.

Can I use what I learn internationally?

Yes. Our qualifications are globally recognised through professional accreditation (IPHM and IGCT), making your certification valid and respected across international health and aesthetic industries.

I already hold skincare certifications; will this duplicate my training?

No. Our training focuses on the internal side of skin health, how diet, nutrients and cellular metabolism influence visible results. It perfectly complements aesthetic or cosmetic training, expanding your expertise beyond topical methods.

Is this course suitable for online practitioners or coaches?

Yes. You’ll gain tools and frameworks to offer virtual consultations, design online skin-nutrition programmes and build a digital client base, ideal for modern practitioners who work remotely.

Will I receive ongoing updates or access to new research?

Yes. Alumni have access to updated content and invitations to advanced CPD masterclasses, ensuring you stay informed about new discoveries in skin biology and nutritional dermatology. Also there is a library with science research, recipes, factsheets and more, that is constantly being updated

What career outcomes can I expect?

Graduates go on to become:

How do I know which course is right for me?

You can start by earning your first CPD credit with one of our on-demand classes that take just 60 minutes (or less) to complete; you’ll get a feel for how our school operates and the type of educational content you’ll experience. You can also take this short quiz to help you choose the best course for your professional goals.

What client materials do I receive after completing a course?

All our courses include a Graduate Pack designed to help you start working confidently right away. Your pack contains a professional Practitioner Manual, digital certification badges for your website and social media, and a collection of ready-to-use client resources, including e-books, factsheets, nutrition guides, meal plans, recipes, and shopping lists. These materials are designed to save you time, support your clients effectively, and elevate your professional brand.

Do I need to be a vegan practitioner or only work with vegan clients to study here?

Not at all. The Skin Nutrition Institute is not a vegan school, and our curriculum is not based on any specific dietary ideology.

While our founder, Star Khechara, is personally vegan, our courses are grounded in functional nutrition and clinical research, not personal belief systems. We focus on the evidence-based use of plant-derived and botanical nutrients such as antioxidants, phytonutrients and anti-inflammatory compounds.

You’ll learn how to apply nutritional strategies in a way that suits your practice scope and your clients’ diverse needs, whether they follow omnivorous or plant-predominant diets.

We teach science-backed nutrition and our goal is to help you deliver real results in your professional setting.

What is functional nutrition?

Functional nutrition is a science-based approach that looks at how food and nutrients influence body systems, focusing on the root causes of health or skin imbalances rather than just symptoms. It considers the whole person, including diet, lifestyle, epigenetics and environment, to create personalised nutrition plans that support optimal function and long-term health.

How do I know these courses are credible and not just another online scam?

We completely understand why you’d want to check our credibility; it’s an important question to ask before investing in any online education. When the Skin Nutrition Institute first launched over eight years ago, we were the world’s first dedicated “beauty nutrition” school. Since then, many others have appeared, but we remain the original, evidence-based, accredited provider in this field.

Unlike many generic or AI-generated courses now appearing online, our training is written and taught by real experts and backed by science. We’re proud to have over 1,600 students worldwide, many of whom are featured on our site showcasing their own successful practices and expertise.

You can verify our credibility and see the impact of our education here:

The Skin Nutrition Institute is also fully accredited and professionally recognised:

CMA Training Provider Membership Number: CMA2463

IPHM Accreditation Number: IPHMNC4566

We’re passionate about quality education, real science and real outcomes. We invite you to explore our graduates’ success stories to see the difference for yourself.

What kind of student support will I receive?

You’ll be fully supported throughout your studies and even after you graduate. Students gain access to a lively community forum with multiple groups and topic sections, where they can connect with peers, find study buddies and share ideas.

Each course module includes a dedicated discussion thread, where students can ask questions and receive direct guidance from Star Khechara. You’ll also receive personalised feedback on your tests, exams, and assignments to help you continuously improve.

The student portal includes built-in social networking and a native messaging system, allowing you to contact staff with just one click.

And the best part? Graduate access never expires; you’re welcome to stay in the community, continue networking, and enjoy these features for as long as you like, even years after completing your course.
