Plant-based chocolate pudding

This silky, rich pudding isn’t just a treat; it’s functional skin nutrition in a bowl.
Formulated with whole-food ingredients that support collagen integrity, hydration and antioxidant defence, it’s a delicious way to nourish your skin from within.

Cacao provides polyphenols and magnesium, while avocado delivers skin-lipid-supportive fatty acids. Together, they help reduce oxidative stress and support the skin’s natural glow.

Ingredients

Serves: 2–3

  • 1 ripe avocado (rich in vitamin E and monounsaturated fats)
  • 1 ripe (spotty) banana
  • 2 fresh Medjool dates.
  • 1 dash vanilla extract
  • 1 splash unsweetened plant milk (hazelnut milk is recommended)
  • Cacao nibs, chopped nuts, rose petals, grated chocolate or banana slices for garnish.
  • Optional: pinch of sea salt or cinnamon for flavor depth

Method

  1. Halve the avocado and scoop out the soft flesh.
  2. Add to a food processor with everything else.
  3. Process until smooth.
  4. Fill ramekins or pudding glasses with the mixture and refrigerate until cold.
  5. Decorate with chopped nuts, cacao nibs, rose petals, grated chocolate, banana slices, etc.

If you can't get fresh medjool dates, use 4 dried ones soaked for 2 hours and then drain them.

Skin Nutrition Spotlight

  • Avocado is rich in vitamin E, carotenoids and healthy fats that nourish the skin barrier and reduce inflammation.
  • Cacao nibs provide flavonoids that protect against oxidative stress and improve circulation to the skin.
  • Medjool dates are natural sources of minerals and antioxidants.
  • Nut milk hydrates and complements the pudding’s smooth, skin-loving texture.

Together, these ingredients deliver essential nutrients that support collagen synthesis, barrier lipid health and overall skin radiance.

Serving Tip

Top with crushed walnuts, chia seeds or a drizzle of nut butter for extra omega-3 and zinc; both are key nutrients for healthy skin, hair and nails.
